The Indiana Jones franchise is an impressive success story about a beloved archaeologist. Although it hasn't attained the same box office numbers as the Marvel or Harry Potter movies, it is still a favourite with movie-goers - and has been, for over 40 years.

With Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny currently playing at Stettler's Jewel Theatre, we decided to break down the numbers on this iconic movie franchise.

Total # of Feature Films: 5

  • Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989) Box Office: $474.2M USD

  • Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008) Box Office: $790.7M USD

  • Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023) Box Office: $247.9M USD* *as of publication date

Includes 30,000 beetles and 50,000 cockroaches.

These numbers aren't bad for a franchise that got its start in the early 1980s, before green screens and CGI were widely used.
